HERALD (CBS13) – Firefighters from multiple agencies battled a mobile home fire in the town of Herald on Friday.

The fire started around 3:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived at the home just east of Galt, they weren’t able to get access to the back of the home, where they were trying to concentrate their efforts.

Firefighters had to cut a hole in the roof of the home to ventilate the home from smoke.

No one was inside the home when the fire started.

At 7 a.m., fire crews were in mop-up mode.
