TODAY'S LIST-Favorite Sports (Non Big 3)
Each and every day on the show at 1:40 we do "THE LIST". The list is the top 3 choices from Nate, Cory and myself on the day's subject.
Today's subject (June 2nd, 2015) YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH/OR PLAY (not including Football, Basketball or Baseball) Cory Pfister's List: 1) Golf- he loves to play it and watch it. Just stay out of his way if he 3 puts. 2) Tailgate Sports- Cory includes washers, cornhole and ladder ball. I think it's a Missouri thing. 3) Ping Pong- Apparently Cory is like Forrest Gump when it comes to ping pong. He will take on any challengers. He even named his paddles. "The Cracken and Tsunami" Nate Goodyear's List: 1) Soccer- Nate has fallen in love with soccer and now can't get enough of it. Nate is unfazed by the FIFA scandal and would love to meet Sepp Blatter. Whether it's the Sac Republic, Borussia Dortmund, or the US Men's National Team, Nate's only GOAL is more soccer. 2)Curling- Yes, Curling. Nate fell in love with the sport when he became smitten with Cheryl Bernard the Canadian Curler. Maybe it's the intrigue of the sport occurring every four years or just being captain of teambernard.com. That is a thing, check it out. 3) Softball- Different then baseball, Nate loves the strategy of the game. Chicks dig the long ball, but for Nate he is all about the small ball of softball. Jason Ross' List: 1) Golf- For me I love the game of golf. I love to watch it and love to play it even more. So much fun and frustration all in one. I will never play again, well, until the next time I get a chance. 2) Olympic Sports- I can't get enough of the Olympics. The Winter and more so Summer Olympics have always been big on my list. I love the speed sports of both genres. Swimming sprints, tracks sprints, speed skating. I've got the need, the need for speed. 3) Beach Volleyball- This is one that I love to play and for that matter watch too. 2 on 2 beach volleyball is a great workout and a lot of fun. When I talk about Beach Volleyball, I am not referring to what you may have seen in Top Gun. The Top Gun volleyball scene where Maverick, Goose, Ice Man, and Slider play sand volleyball in the scorching heat is possibly the most unrealistic scene in the history of motion pictures. I do have to admit though that sometimes my ego is writing checks that my body can't cash. May be time to hang up my short-shorts.
