Entrepreneurship A Worthy Calculated Risk Says Sacramento Business Owner

Ever since coffee started picking up steam as the daily drink of choice after a certain tea party, coffee has been synonymous with business ever since. Combining the two, coffee and business, only seems natural as local coffee houses have been the place for countless business interactions happening 24/7 around the world. But as coffee is the obvious main attraction, business space is often pushed to the wayside. Sacramento becoming the foremost place for entrepreneurship seemed to be the right place to open a new kind of coffee shop that combined both meeting place and coffeehouse.

Enter co-founder and co-owner Matt Kennedy of  The Trade Coffee and Coworking located in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Opening earlier this year, the burgeoning coffee shop serves up some of the best espressos, drip and iced Coffees that Sacramento has ever experienced. And it should be the best as The Trade Coffee and Coworking proudly brews Blue Bottle Coffee, another entrepreneurial success story that started in Oakland. The real genius in the entire operation is the availability of workspace and conference rooms that patrons of the coffee shop (or anyone for that matter) can use. Only time will tell whether or not this coffee shop/collaboration space will be a success, but with 26 years of entrepreneurship under his belt, Matthew is a seasoned veteran of the challenges that small business ownership may throw his way.
