LODI (CBS13) – One man is dead and an officer has been injured following a gun battle in Lodi.
The incident began around 12:30 p.m. Thursday near 200 W Lodi and Point Pleasant avenues.

There, they made contact with the suspect, an adult male, who allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired at officers, according to a Lodi Police Department statement.
Police returned fire, killing the suspect. An officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital to be treated.
