3 Killed When Car Spins Out During Street Race In San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a car involved in a street race spun out and struck a pole before slamming into a tree on a San Jose, California, curb, killing three people.

The gold Honda Accord was an unreported stolen car taken from San Jose.

San Jose Police say two people were pronounced dead at the scene late Tuesday night. A third died at a hospital and another person was injured.

Authorities say the other car, an Acura, sped away from the scene and has not been found.

The identities of the victims have not been released while authorities notify their families.
