SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A 10-year-old girl is recovering from a gunshot wound she received Sunday in Stockton.
Around 11:10 p.m. the girl was sitting with her mother in their Chevrolet Tahoe, which was stopped in the 100 block of E. First Street, when a white two-door older-model Saturn pulled alongside them. A man inside the Saturn fired several shots at the passenger side of the Tahoe, hitting the girl once.
The mother drove to an area hospital where the girl was treated. Her condition is unknown.
The suspect is described as a thin Hispanic male, in his 20s, who was last seen wearing a beanie.
