Reward To Find JJ Clavo's Killer Grows
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Investigators are still searching for the gunman who killed Grant Union High School football player Jaulon "JJ" Clavo.
Now, Sacramento County has added $5,000 to the reward fund to find the suspect, bringing the total reward to $38,000.
Clavo was shot and killed in November just hours before he was to play in a playoff game. A second Grant High School player was also injured in the shooting.
The shooting prompted an outcry from the community of Del Paso Heights and a strong show of support from the greater Sacramento community. Sacramento Kings player DeMarcus Cousins paid for Clavo's funeral expenses.
