Raiders' Justin Tuck Announces Retirement

The Oakland Raiders' Justin Tuck has announced his retirement from the NFL. The defense end made the statement on his official Facebook page:

After months of praying and careful consideration, I have decided to retire from the game of football. I've had 11 great years and honestly I leave with very few regrets.

Tuck, 32 years old, has spend 11 seasons in the National Football League. During that time, Tuck has won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants and was selected to the Pro-Bowl twice.

Tuck was the co-captain of the Raider defense with recently retired Charles Woodson. "The thing about Tuck is, (he) is a leader amongst men so I don't think as far as his leadership and what he brings is going to change much just because of how he is," Woodson said on the Raiders website.

"We'll miss him on the field. He's an important part of our defense so not to have that guy and have to essentially find somebody to replace him, that's always tough in whatever position it is to replace one of your main guys."
