Championship Voting - Friday, April 1st - Monday, April 4th

FIRST ROUND RECAP: Chalk, chalk and more chalk! Of the 32 match-ups, we only had one higher seed win, as #10 Semi-Pro took down #7 Hoop Dreams! In the "Other" Region, #7 Tin Cup barely squeaked by #10 Miracle 50.31% to 49.69%. In the "Football" Region, #8 The Blindside snuck past #9 Varsity Blues 50.94% to 49.06%. In the "Basketball" Region, #11 Love & Basketball almost pulled the upset over #6 Basketball Diaries, losing 49.29% to 50.71%.
SECOND ROUND RECAP: We had four minor upsets in the second round, the biggest being #6 The Waterboy taking down #3 Jerry Maguire. Sorry Tom Cruise! The other three mini upsets were #5 Bull Durham over #4 Moneyball, #5 Any Given Sunday over # 4 Friday Night Lights and #5 Coach Carter over #4 He Got Game. Will all four #1 seeds make the Final 4 or will we have an upset or two along the way? Keep voting for your favorites!
THIRD ROUND RECAP: We are down to the Final 8 and it's almost ALL Chalk! The only movie remaining that is not a Top 2 seed is Happy Gilmore, a #3 seed that defeated #2 Caddyshack in the round of 16. Our closest Round of 16 match-up was in the Basketball Region, as #2 White Men Can't Jump squeaked by #3 Space Jam 52% - 48%! We are almost down to the Final 4, so keep the votes coming!
FOURTH ROUND RECAP: We've got a fantastic Final 4! After the top seeds cruised through the first few rounds, we've got only one #1 seed making it to our Final 4, as Hoosiers beat White Men Can't Jump in the Elite 8's most lopsided result, 57% to 43%. In the Football Region, #2 Rudy pulled the upset over #1 Remember the Titans 54% to 46%. The #2 seed in the Baseball Region also advanced, as Major League snuck past #1 Sandlot 54% to 46%. And in the "Other" Sports Region, #3 Happy Gilmore continued to shock the world, as it beat #1 Rocky 54% to 46%.
FINAL FOUR RECAP: Down goes our last #1 seed, as Rudy defeated Hoosiers 54% to 46%. On the other side, Happy Gilmore's hockey stick putter continues to surprise everyone as he cruises into the finals after beating Major League 52% to 48%.
