FOOTHILL FARMS (CBS13) – Metro Fire crews are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out in a Foothill Farms area middle school locker room early Friday morning.

Crews initially responded to reports of a building fire on the Foothill Ranch Middle School campus just after 3:30 a.m. Sacramento Metro Fire says a stool was found outside of the building to gain access to a window six feet in the air.

Inside, lockers along with hula hoops and athletic balls were burned.

Firefighters say cameras are mounted all over the building and they hope that the school district will be able to find out who may have done this.

Nobody was inside the building at the time the fire.

Fire crews are trying to get all that smoke out of the locker room by using air vents and by keeping doors open.
