Sacramento Native, 24, Killed In Hit-And-Run In Reno

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A 24-year-old Sacramento native has died after being hit by a car in Reno over the weekend.

Police say Alex Trussell moved to Reno to go to college.

Saturday night, Trussell was fatally struck by a car near the University of Nevada-Reno campus.

Police arrested 26-year-old Brian Pippen, also from Sacramento. Officers believe he struck Trussell with his car and took off before later being taken into custody.

Pippen is facing felony hit and run charges and additional charges could be filed related to Trussell's death, according to officers.
