Body Found On Side Of Auburn Boulevard, Detectives Investigating Possible Homicide
SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) - Authorities are investigating a body found on the side of a road Wednesday morning as a possible homicide.
The scene was on Auburn Boulevard between Garfield and Manzanita.
Deputies were called to the scene around 8 a.m. to investigate an unresponsive person. That person was soon pronounced dead by medics.
Witnesses told Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies that an assault stemming from an ongoing disagreement may have preceded the person's death. Deputies say they are investigating several possible locations in connection to the incident.
Detectives are investigating the incident as a possible homicide.
No details about the person have been given at this time.
Investigators will be at the scene for several hours.
