Sierra Weather: Deputy Rescues Woman From Freezing Home

PIONEER (CBS13) — Pioneer resident Joan Armstrong hadn't been heard from during this weekend's storm, so her neighbors called the police to check her on her.

Amador County Deputy Casey Wilson found Armstrong snowed into her home with no heat, no power, and no phone service.

Deputy Wilson dug the snow out and managed to her Armstrong to his car.

He drove Armstrong to Jackson Rancheria where he bought her a hotel room for the night.
