Police: Woman Dead After Three-Vehicle Crash On Sheldon Road
ELK GROVE (CBS13) — Sheldon Road between Springhurst Drive and Power Inn Road was closed Monday evening after a fatal three-vehicle collision.
Elk Grove Police said the collision happened at Sheldon Road and Sheldon Creek Drive.
Upon arrival, police said a 2018 Chevrolet Spark had been involved in the collision. The driver, a female adult, was found to be unconscious and was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Investigators said the driver of the Spark was slowing down, going east on Sheldon Road, approaching Springhurst Drive when she was rear-ended by a 2015 Mazda CX5. The collision caused the Spark to clip a 2010 BMW M3 before it came to rest on the center median.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
