Rent Control Is Likely Coming To Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento City Council is expected to approve the Tenant Protection and Relief Act at a meeting on Monday.

The act would cap rent increases for those living in housing built before February 1, 1995, and prevent landlords from evicting people without a reason.

It would also create a way for renters to report landlords who violate the act.
