Arson Suspect Arrested In Oroville In Connection With Highway 149 Brush Fire

OROVILLE (CBS13) — A homeless man suspected of trying to set a fire on Highway 149 in Oroville has been arrested, Cal Fire announced.

Rafael Dacanay, 39, had just been released from the Butte County Jail hours before the fire was set, officials said.

The blaze spread to over two acres and was stopped just feet from a Butte County and Cal Fire training center.
