THIS IS SACRAMENTO unveiled Art Exhibit at the AirportThis is Sacramento unveiled its art exhibit at the Sacramento International Airport Terminal B. on March 11th. This is Sacramento is a collaborative effort between the Sacramento Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Rainbow Chambers of Commerce, in partnership with SMUD and Wells Fargo to celebrate Sacramento’s most important asset, our diversity. The campaign will brand Sacramento’s unique place as one of the most culturally integrated cities in the world through the creation of art. The group partnered with local artists to create the installation.

The Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce (SACC) celebrated their 27th annual Installation & Awards Dinner in style - Bollywood Style on February 18th at the Hyatt Regency.
President & CEO, Pat Fong Kushida gave a special tribute for Lina Fat and the Fat Family, renaming our Small Business of the Year award to the Fat Family Legacy Award.
The 2020 winners included two Emerging Leaders - Nikky Mohanna, Mohanna Development and Venita Sivamani, LearnSkin; Fat Family Legacy – Insera Therapeutics; Corporate Steward – California State University, Sacramento and Honoree – Lokesh Sikaria, Moneta Ventures.
The evening brought together over 600 of our regions elected officials, community leaders and small business owners.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento Hammy AwardsOn January 29th Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Sacramento area held the Annual Hammy Awards and Dinner was held at The Center at 2300.
This annual awards and celebration dinner together Habitat supporters, donors, volunteers, and ReStore partners to celebrate all that was accomplished in the past year and recognize outstanding members of the Habitat support community.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Dinner and AwardsThe Sacramento MLK Committee hosted the 21st annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Saturday, January 25th at Sacramento State
Keynote Speaker, Ruby Bridges was the first African American student to integrate an elementary school in New Orleans at the age of six. She shared her powerful story from her days attending the all-white school to her work today as a civil rights activist.

The Honorable Paul Seave, former US Attorney for the Eastern District of California, received a special award for being one of the founders of the MLK Celebration event.
Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg also presented Ruby Bridges with a Key to the City.

State of Downtown presented by Sacramento Downtown PartnershipState of Downtown was presented by Sacramento Downtown Partnership on January 21st at the Hyatt Regency with guest speaker, Dr. Drew Pinsky, former host of Dr. Drew Midday Live and the Jvance Stewart Community Service Award presented to Hope Cooperative, a leading provider of mental health and supportive housing services in Sacramento County.
