BIA Building Industry 45th Awards CelebrationBIA Building Industry Awards dinner “MAME” celebrated the 45th year awards, on November 18th at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, downtown Sacramento with theme "academy awards" honoring the home building industry for the Sacramento region. A celebration with fellow home building professionals that honored marketing, design and the people that make things happen.
Sacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery LUXE FOR LIFE FundraiserSacramento Children’s Home Crisis Nursery LUXE FOR LIFE dinner and fundraiser was held at the California Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento on November 13, 2021. The Sacramento Children’s Home operates the county’s only Crisis Nursery. The mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by providing support to families at times of crisis. The Sacramento Crisis Nursery is a family-strengthening program, where parents can bring their children ages 0-5 to one of two Sacramento nurseries for emergency childcare services or overnight care during difficult times.

The NAIOP Sacramento Valley was formed in 1985 and conducts business in the Colusa, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties. Since founding, it has become the voice of commercial real estate development. The Sacramento Chapter is known for organizing special events such as the annual Development Forum, which feature current and future regional development projects, the quarterly Hard Hat Tours, which feature new projects and host guest speakers. The chapter offers educational workshops and seminars and remains involved in government affairs at local and state levels.

The theme of this year’s event was “Women of Color Changing the Face of History.” The event was held a at Scott’s Seafood on the River inside the Portofino Pavilion in Sacramento with Red carpet arrivals and grand opening of the Expo SCHMF recognized 12 diverse women from Northern California for their accomplishments in their professions and community.

Hard Hats & High Heels Gala fundraiser with $320,000 raised at the Gala to directly support building and repairing homes for low income families, seniors, and veterans in need of affordable housing.
The Sacramento Midtown Mini/Midtown Love CelebrationOn September 16, the Midtown Association presented two events in one -- the Midtown Mini/Midtown Love celebration. The Midtown Mini was a 35-hole miniature golf activation set-up outdoors at 20th & K streets and was followed by an always-popular Midtown Love celebration at the iconic Faces Nightclub. Complete with food and drinks, live music, interactive art, putt-putt golf, mermaids, drag queens, a lip sync battle, photo booths, raffles, prizes and more, the celebratory event raised much-needed funds to support Midtown’s resiliency efforts for local restaurants, bars, and retail establishments as well as help sustain the health-focused and free programming offered in various Midtown Parks.

An entirely local team of distinguished chefs lead the return of Visit Sacramento’s Tower Bridge Dinner fundraiser this year, with UC Davis Health Executive Chef Santa Diaz spearheading the group. Diaz has led a program for the health system that is changing the face of hospital food, prioritizing local ingredients and diverse options for both patients and staff.
