For a more intimate wedding and reception with just a few guests, Amber House is a wonderful venue. The bed and breakfast is actually made up of two homes, a 1905 craftsman-style house and a Dutch Colonial-style house and garden built in 1895. The owners recommend vendor partners including wedding planners, florists, ministers, photographers, party suppliers and musicians. Gourmet food is available for receptions, with buffet or sit-down options including pork tenderloin in a mustard-caper sauce and poached salmon in remoulade. If you would prefer an outside caterer, the owners are happy to work with them as well.

Nuptials with a maximum of 25 people can take place in the lovely, cozy parlor with a fireplace or in the romantic garden area for up to 30 people. Wedding guests can stay in any of the 10 bedroom suites in Amber House, but the Mozart room, featuring a canopy bed, heart-shaped Jacuzzi, wood fireplace and private deck, is perfect for the happy couple. The Princess package offers basic services for smaller receptions, with additional options provided with the Queen and King packages.

The ultimate package, for a minimum of 75 guests, is the "Royal Wedding." Upgrades include floral centerpieces, champagne at the end of the ceremony, bar service, a master of ceremonies and a custom wedding cake. Various menu items, including rack of lamb, béarnaise filet mignon, sea scallops in bacon, pomegranate glazed duck and a tagine of grilled vegetables, are available for the reception. Room discounts are available to guests and the bride and groom can stay in unique, romantic Captain's Quarters. Originally the riverboat's wheelhouse, this beautiful two-story suite includes a wet bar, a private terrace and beautiful views of the river.
