The Crocker Art Museum features countless pieces from various artists throughout the world. The museum’s collections vary from 17th Century European Paintings to carved figure poles and masks representing cultures from Oceania and Africa. The museum’s newest exhibits will be on display from June 28 to October 11, 2015. This will feature the works of Armin Hansen, a San Francisco native who lived between 1886 and 1885. The subject of the exhibit will be The Artful Voyage. Many of Hansen’s works feature fisherman taking on life on the Pacific.

The C.N. Gorman Museum was originally founded by the faculty of Native American Studies to honor a retired colleague. Gorman was a Navajo and found a home at the University of California Davis. The museum honors his name and exhibits artwork and sculptures of indigenous artists. Listening to the Stone: Original Inuit Art features a wide collection of Inuit stone sculptures and prints amassed for over 30 years

The California Museum focuses on the state’s contribution to the world. It was established in 1998 in collaboration with the state of California. The newest feature to come to the California Museum will be the Pigskin Peanuts Exhibit. This exhibit will feature the iconic “Fall Classic” of Lucy pulling the ball away from Charlie Brown as he runs up to kick it. Peanuts is one of the most popular comic strips in the world and in honor of its 65th anniversary, the exhibit is coming to The California Museum.

The California Automobile Museum features an extensive collection of cars. Some of the exhibits are themed period settings to bring to life the car in their glory days. A new exhibit is Mustang Vs. Camaro, which runs from June 20 to October 18, 2015. These two muscle cars have been the heart and soul of car enthusiasts for decades. Mustang Vs. Camaro will feature models dating back to the 1960s all the way to current models.

Another new exhibit at The California Museum worth note is California Chrome. This exhibit will be focused on horse racing and thoroughbred history in California. California Chrome is primarily focused around a horse named California Chrome, who capped a six race winning streak and swept the 2014 Kentucky Derby. The horse will not be on display, but the Kentucky Derby trophy and other rare items can be seen during this exhibit.
