Officials are warning residents of West Sacramento to be on alert after a mountain lion was spotted in the area two days in a row.
West Sacramento police say a contractor working in the vicinity of South River Road spotted a mountain lion today. This is the second day the contractor has spotted the lion.
There are trails in the area along the river where the mountain lion has been seen. Because mountain lions may be more active during cooler temperatures, police are warning residents to avoid the area in the evening and early morning hours.
