Firefighters Rescue Dog From Septic Tank

Sacramento (CBS13) --  The Sacramento Metro Fire Department has rescued  a canine that fell 30ft into a septic hole.

According to authorities, a person walked up the fire station saying that a Golden Retriever was in a septic tank, but it is unknown if the person was the dog's owner or just a person passing by.

The rescue is happened at 10554 Birch Ranch Dr., according to fire officials.

Sacramento Metro Fire Special Rescue Crews have lowered a firefighter into the hole and scoop up the dog, and then will be raised back up by crews on the surface.
