Baby Found On Doorstep Of Merced County Home

LE GRAND (CBS13) – A baby boy was found abandoned on the doorstep of a Merced County home Tuesday morning.

The baby was found wedged between a security screen and the front door of a home in the 4000 block of Fresno Road in Le Grange around 6:30 a.m.

A man leaving for work heard the baby crying on the doorstep of his neighbor's home and woke his neighbor who then called the Sheriff's office.

The baby was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Merced detectives are checking to the see if the baby is the missing two-month-old from a missing person case last week.
