Pioneer Firefighter Injured In Fall

PIONEER, Calif. (CBS13) – A firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries in a fall from a fire station roof on Christmas Eve.

Cal Fire said the firefighter, who has not been identified, was doing maintenance on the roof at a fire station on Dew Drop Road in Pioneer on Friday afternoon when he fell to the ground.

The firefighter was flown by helicopter to Mercy San Juan as a precaution due to the height of the fall and the remote location of the accident site.

The firefighter suffered minor to moderate injuries, but is expected to be released sometime Christmas Eve after more tests are run.
