OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — A second-grade Oakland teacher is on leave while the school investigates reports that students engaged in oral sex during class.

There are also reports Markham Elementary School kids stripped off their clothes in class.

The Oakland Tribune says the teacher, whose name hasn’t been released, is now on administrative leave while the investigation continues into last week’s allegations.

Oakland school district spokesman Troy Flint says the principal learned Wednesday of the allegations after a student came forward. A letter was sent Thursday informing parents that there was an investigation.

I have 14 grandkids 9 boys 5 girls this is unexceptable with the children period i taught school jr.high & high school in the bay area in order for a teacher to allow that they have to be a pervert,-molester and is very negligent therfore their teaching credentials need to be took (fired)but kids can dispise a teacher and make up stories you are innocent until proven guilty would hate to see a person lose their credentials -credibility over a lie which we all do.good luck on your investigation

I concur Ted. I am a school teacher and I don’t buy it. She may have worked at a school but was never a teacher. Additionally, real teachers know that this kind of behavior happens in real life. Children are exposed to so much in the home and through peers these days.

Who says that we do not need prayer in our schools! Their needs to be a standard. And with out one these are the type’s if thingsthat our kids are being exposed to. They are teaching a no moral standard and a anything goes, whatever one thinks is right. They say you should respect my belifs.

Kids do pray all the time, Donald. Even while in school! If these kids were ratted out for praying, that’s a different story. There is a standard and that is why we are reading about it.

Who is or is not raising our children? Why is the teacher on administrative leave? Are the parents? Somebody is being molested somewhere, and a psychologist will tell you that there is only so much a child can imagine without know what he or she is talking about. I blame somebody’s parents, and instead of just blaming the teacher, I would see who is minding the store in these homes.
I am not saying that it is every parent, but somebody is not watching the little ones.

what i am 13 and think this is fake. no one in my school has had sex. this is just so weird. kids get to know what sex is younger and younger this terrible. if i was a kid in that class i would have ran away. this is so gross.

I think the kids are lying about the teacher’s doing that, i work with 20 or more kids in one class, I can’t even move or no time to do anything else…beside just helping them with their work…that’s a lie lie….lie lie
