Man Who Stabbed Wife Gets 68 Years In Prison
STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) -- A Stockton man who stabbed his wife to death as she held their 3-year-old son in her arms has been sentenced to 68 years in prison.
The Stockton Record says Jesse Tellez was sentenced Monday for first-degree murder.
Prosecutors say he stabbed his wife, Tevanie Tellez, in front of their 12-year-old daughter in July of 2009. His wife was holding their son when she was attacked.
In court, Tellez wept as his daughter, now 13, told him that she still loves him but feels as if both her parents are dead.
