Man Crushed To Death Outside Natomas Shopping Center
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man attempting to change light bulbs in the front of a Natomas store has been killed in a horrific accident, according to authorities.
Sacramento fire fighters say a man employed by Century Lighting and Electric was in the basket of a lift and was using the controls to maneuver himself into position in front of the Staples store in a shopping center.
He apparently did not give himself enough room to clear the edge of the building and crushed his head into the building.
Fire fighters responding to the emergency say the man was nearly decapitated.
OSHA investigators have been called to look into exactly what caused the accident.
