Former Sacramento Special Ed Teacher Indicted On Child Pornography Charges

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A former Sacramento special education teacher has been indicted by a federal grand jury for possessing child pornography.

Special education teacher Mark Cline, 45, was arrested on December 22 after San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputies reported finding sexual pictures of underage children on his computer.

Deputies searched Cline's home in Clements after receiving a tip on December 21.

Cline was originally charged by the San Joaquin County District Attorney's officer but those charges have now been dropped in lieu of the federal charges.

The Sacramento Unified School District put Cline on administrative leave from his position as a special education teacher at Will C. Wood Middle School immediately after his arrest.

Cline is still being held at the Sacramento County jail pending a detention hearing scheduled for Friday afternoon.
