I always felt, with this girl’s older brother in juvie, that this was gang related.
He will spend the first few years in juvie, then his 18th birthday present will be a van ride to prison. Raping a girl and stabbing a baby will definately get him a lovely welcome. I give him maybe one week after he hits there.

@The_Truth, Today’s society’s pretty messed up, that’s true, but his actions can’t be blamed on society alone, nor his parents’ either. A person can be brought up in a great society and family and still commit horrifying acts like this one. When, Where, or How doesn’t necessarily matter when it comes to the human mind. (But that’s just my opinion.)

At the age of only 14 he has committed a gang like crime and caused permanent emotional injury and horrible physical injury to another. Parents, whatever you do, keep and eye on your children and who they are with. If you have to track them down and drag them home every night of the week, do it! If you need to knock on doors to find where and who your children and with, do it. Don’t let your children associate with anyone until you have met and approved of their surroundings.

Wow, 14 years old and your life is basically over. You know it and I know it, that when he gets into that prison, he will be killed. Only a question of time. But, it does sound like both family’s are low on the totem pole. trying to be nice here.

I am glad that I will be dead and gone with these kids end up raising family’s of their own. Now, those kids will be totally messed up. And running the Country.

My parents knew my every move until the age of about 17. They respected my privacy, and let me make my choices and of course some mistakes… But, they stepped in when they thought that I was going to make a very wrong choice, but still, the choice was to be mine to make. They just pointed out different options for me, and left me to make the choice.

This gang stuff needs to be stopped. And if parents took charge of their kids like they are supposed to, then this gang stuff would be gone… Can you imagine??? No gangs to deal with??? Sighs..still looking for intelligent comments instead of the profanity-laced comments and speculation from people thinking that watching prison drama gives them the expert references to make what they think is an intelligent comment. The Kings will make the playoffs sooner than i witnessing a coherent well-thought out response to this senseless crime.

This kid was messed up long before this attack and how no one saw this earlier doesn’t suprise me. I worked with kids like him in a continuation school half of them were sex offenders. They think they know everything, that they are bigger and badder than the next person. It’s that hood, ghetto mentality that has been unfortunately going on for many generations in both Black and Hispanic communities. Most of these kids don’t have a great start at life and it just spirals downhill, because there is absolutely no intervention for the parents or the kids. No education, poverty, drugs and worse plagues these kids, it’s tragic, but no excuse for hurting innocent people. With more of these throw away children out there, we are pretty doomed to more incidents of random violence unless some strategic intervention is in place. It’s sad that we are so consumed with the Kings this and the Kings that, that we forget what really matters. The Kings and the Maloofs are a multi million dollar establishment. They will continue to make millions, while young people continue to die senselessly. You would think that with that much money and time somebody in that line up would start a humanitarian effort to help our young people, not just infrequent basketball camps for kids. If I had as much money as these millionaires, I would do just that, help children. All these superstars and all thier millions especially these rappers and teen superstars, they should be doing their part in giving back and helping children so that these stories can be lessened. Whether this young man goes to prison, won’t make much difference the damage is done someone is a victim and someone is going to be a convict. This is real life, not crime shows and movies like OZ, Training Day, and American Me this is real life violence and death that continues to go on long after the credits stop.

Safe bet the other inmates will get a hold of him.

What he did to that poor girl and her little brother is nothing compared to what’s going to happen to him in prison. He’ll learn what payback really is.

I feel so sad for the sister and brother. The physical and emotional scars that they will have will last far longer than the trial. I shudder to think that this is the world I’m bringing my future child into.

JJ As far as I understand it depends on the crime, evidence, and competency of the juvenile to charge as an adult. It makes sense to me. The child will probably do time as a juvenile, and charged as an adult, will move to prison once he turns 18 to finish his sentence. Hopefully this kid never sees the light of day for attempted murder. Disgusting.

It is an adult crime. Apparently the Judge feels it is necessary to try him as an adult. You don’t diagnose a kid as a psycho path.. which there is nothing we can do for him, but lock him up in an institution.
