SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Heavily armed law enforcement officers cordoned off a home described by neighbors as a known brothel after shots were fired at a vehicle Sunday.

A SWAT team surrounded a home on Andrewsarah Court in South Sacramento after searching for a gunman who opened fire from the front lawn at an unknown victim Sunday afternoon. Authorities carefully searched the structure and did not locate the suspect.

Witnesses said they saw a number of women inside the home being driven away shortly after the shooting, and neighbors say the home frequently houses prostitutes.

“I’ve seen them parading up and down the street,” said one woman, who asked not to be identified. “Kids can’t play outside because the pervs come over here, looking for sex.”

The pimp who runs the operation is violent, and some of the women may be forced to sell their bodies, neighbors said.

Since October, police have responded to the home four times for violent incidents, including fights and a report that a man was beating a woman outside with a belt.

The home is registered to a credit union out of Walnut Creek. Nobody at the company was available for comment Sunday.

Deputies say it’s difficult to make prostitution arrests without conducting a sting operation, and recent budget cuts taken away the resources to do so.

It all depends on the location when it comes to the use of police resources.

  • Tired of all the Crime…..

I can’t believe this… The police knew of this place and have done nothing??? This confirms my belief that we as citizens should start taking matters into our own hands…

I say, if the police won’t do anything about all of the crime, gangs, thefts, drug addicts, rapes, murders, just to name a few…. That we should step in and do what needs to be done.

If the law won’t do their jobs, then we will have to start protecting our own…. I will have no problem taking care of the problems that I see….

How many of you are fed up with living in fear??? How many of you are ready to take matters into your own hands and defend your family, your friends, and your neighbors?????

Someone once said…. “It takes a village”….. And someone else said, “It starts with one person saying no more”…..

Do you want to continue living your life with your head in the sand, or will you be one of the ones to take control and help clean up our City, and get your hands dirty…???

everyone needs to do their part to keep thier living environment safe clean and healthy. The police and govt cant do it all. there are resourses available for those who want to see change for the better. You can start with your local council person and work up from there. I know this from personaL experience and this is how the “sensible laws ” get passed,Start by organizing in your own neighborhood. Petitions still work. Put pressure on you state reps. Thats part of their job. I’ve heard many times that they dont do anything because no one tells them there is a problem, they arent mindreaders.

  • Neighbor1234

The cops know where all the crime is. They do not have the man power to stop all of it. so they try to hit what will make the headlines to keep them looking good. It’s not the cop on the beats fault. It’s the politics in management.

  • Really_I_B_Waiting

“It takes a village”,,, how about another tax cut!

Kevin Johnson molested teen age girls, and was voted in by Sacramento blacks anyway.

I say round up all the gang bangers and ship them out to some island in the pacific and let them kill each other. That will take care of most of the problem.
