A fire erupted near light rail tracks in South Sacramento on July 3, 2011.
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Fire crews contained a two-alarm fire that flared up in a South Sacramento open field on Sunday afternoon before the flames damaged any structures.
The Sacramento Fire Department said firefighters steered the flames away from a mobile home park near Florin Road and Hing Avenue and are allowing the flames to burn some of the dry brush in the field.
Helicopters assisted in initial firefighting efforts.
Firefighters will remain on scene until all hot spots are extinguished.
