Natomas School District Hiring For Dozens Of Positions

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A local school district is one of the rare California districts that has dozens of job openings available even after more cuts in the state budget.

The Natomas Unified School District posted 78 job openings, many of them online, for positions they could not fill with recently laid-off employees.

Many of the openings include positions for coaches and specialized teachers.

"These positions are vacant positions," said interim superintendent Walt Hanline. "If we have layoffs, those positions will not be posted."

Officials are hoping to fill the vacant jobs in time for the next school year. More information can be found on the district's web site.
