Sleepy Driver Blamed In Business 80 Accident

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13) – A truck driver apparently fell asleep before hitting an embankment on the Capitol City Freeway in Sacramento during the Friday morning commute, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The truck crashed before 7 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near E Street.

It ended up on the embankment and began leaking fuel. The driver was not hurt.

Traffic in the area was backed up for hours as crews worked to clear the wreck.
