Four Hurt In Boat Crash On Sacramento River

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Four people were hurt, two seriously, in a high speed boat accident on the Sacramento River Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses said the boat was racing down the river near Miller Park at about 1:00 p.m. when a wake threw the watercraft onto its side, tipping it over and ejecting four occupants into the water. Authorities said the boat may have been traveling between 50-60 miles per hour at the time of the accident.

Two of the adults on board suffered minor injuries, but another adult and a 12-year-old girl were seriously hurt and rushed to the hospital.

The identities of the victims have not been released. Yolo County authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
