Audio: The Grant Napear Show - October 4, 2011

Jason Ross fills in for Grant all week and today starts off with NBA Labor negotiations and the announcement that NBA preseason is officially canceled. Next, Solomon Wilcotts from CBS Sports and NFL network joins the show to talk about the Patriots at Raiders game he announced with Kevin Harlan on Sunday. Solomon shares his thoughts on newly acquired tight end Kevin Boss, who is back from injury, and thinks he will help the offense get more yards and open up the run game.

In the second hour, former Sacramento Monarch and WNBA all star Kara Lawson comes on to talk about former coach Pat Summitt announcing that she has early-onset dementia, Alzheimer's type, and Kara talks about her efforts to raise money for researching a cure. Jason and Kara also talk about the NBA lockout and her gig at ESPN. San Francisco 49ers play by play announcer Ted Robinson joins the show to recap Sundays road win over the Eagles coming back from a 21 point deficit in the second half.

After that, Raiders head coach Hue Jackson comes on the show to recap Sundays game against the Patriots and his comments today declaring that the Raiders will win the AFC West, despite losing at home to New England over the weekend.

In the final hour, NFL Networks Brian Baldinger comes on with Jason to discuss week 4 in the NFL and preview week 5's most exciting match ups and which coaches he thinks are in the hot seat after one month of the season is in the books. Then Joe Davidson from the Sacramento Bee comes on to talk about this weekends major high school football brawl between Kennedy and McClatchy high schools which got national media coverage.
