Pedestrian Hit And Killed In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A woman pushing a baby stroller full of recyclables was hit and killed by a vehicle in Sacramento on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The accident happened at Power Inn Road and 68th Avenue around 6:30 a.m.

CHP officers say it was still dark at the time of the accident and the driver apparently did not see the woman.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the accident, the CHP said.

Traffic in the area wasslow as officers investigated. The recyclable materials inside the baby stroller were scattered in the lanes.

The woman's identity was not confirmed.
