SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A man who allegedly fired 44 rounds into a home in West Sacramento last month was arrested Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service, the agency announced.
Deshaun Christopher Buford was arrested in Sacramento. Buford was wanted for attempted homicide for an incident that occurred on Aug. 25 at approximately 9:30 p.m., when he allegedly fired a fully automatic 9mm submachine gun into a residence on Proctor Avenue in West Sacramento.
A young mother and her 2-year-old were inside and just missed getting hit by several bullets. Buford had previously been evicted by the homeowner and reportedly retaliated by firing approximately 44 rounds into the residence.
A warrant for attempted homicide was issued by West Sacramento Police Department on Aug. 26. Information developed Tuesday that Buford was staying at the University Village Apartments in Sacramento.
The U.S. Marshals Task Force along with West Sacramento officers spotted Buford leaving an apartment and arrested him without incident. Buford was taken back to West Sacramento for questioning.

This dude is a lunatic, he needs to go away for life. . . .I hope they throw the book at him and incarcerate him indefinitely.

This really saddens me to know that this person went to such extremes. I knew him years ago when he was a student of mine and at the time was one of the nicest kids and a good student. I can’t imagine what happened with in him to have caused such a drastic change in his personality. I wish a quick recovery to the victims.
