STOCKTON (CBS13) — A man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning on property that included a marijuana grow, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded to a home invasion robbery on the 8000 block of Hildreth Drive at about 2 a.m. and found the victim in an outbuilding on the property that contained the marijuana grow. The victim’s was identified Wednesday afternoon as Mark Henry Dentoni, 42.

Witnesses who were at the residence at the time of the invasion said several armed men entered and forced them into the living room, then began searching the home for valuables, according to the sheriff’s office.

The witnesses described the four to five suspects as being black men all wearing ski masks and gloves. All were armed with guns, they said.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators ask that anyone with information call the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 468-4400 or “Text a Tip” to “274637” by entering SJSO, then the tip.

I can’t believe the morality police/crisis addicts crawled out from under their rocks to DEFEND an armed home-invader. REALLY?? If I had a “friend” who committed a home invasion robbery, I’d be WAY too embarrassed to come here looking for sympathy. But then I wouldn’t (and don’t) HAVE a friend like that.

To the comment, “No addict deserves to be killed”, I disagree. I can’t think of ANYONE who deserves to die more than these animals. You make a statement like that, when these animals showed an absolute disregard for the lives of the people living peacefully in THEIR house? His “addiction status” would mean nothing as I would eagerly empty every bullet and magazine into as many of them as I could pop. And I have enough ammo for a much bigger pack of thugs than this one.

Really? Looks like we have 4 or more ski masked robbers and murder to be worried about.
Mark was not a drug addict. He lived in pain with a hip replacement. You cannot assume all pot growers are drug addicts. Personally I am against all use of drugs and do not support legalized marijuana as I do not believe in its alleged medical benefits but I will not pass judgement on those who find comfort in the use of it, if they feel it benefits their medical needs.

No where in the article is it stated that any one had a drug addiction! All it mentions is the victim was found in an outbuilding with “marijuana grow.”
What I would like to know is how these intruders managed to get in. Morada for those of you who are clueless is an affluent beautiful neighborhood.
My heart goes out to the children he leaves behind, his mother, sibblings, other family members and friends. May he rest in peace and be reunited with his dad in heaven with our Lord. God bless you Mark. I haven’t seen you in a long time since you had your hip replacment. You were and are missed.

The comments on this page make me want to cry. This is not an issue of drugs, nor is this a place to be discussing how much you love or hate your home town. A man was killed who was in pain, who grew marijuana to help him cope. He was not a drug addict or dealer, and was not causing harm to anyone. It disgusts me even that this was mentioned when it is not here nor there in the greater scheme of things.. a matter of life and death. I beg you to think of those who are morning his loss. Posting horrible negative things on this board isn’t doing anything to make this world (or Stockton for that matter) a better place.

It is unbelievable how many people on here can be so insensitive to his friends and family who are still mourning the loss. Shame on you! You do not know what he went through in his life and can not judge Mark based on what the news says. He was an amazing man and he truly cared about the people in his life. It was a tragic accident that does not need to be talked down upon. So Id appreciate it if there were only positive comments left. Leave your negativity and judgment to yourselves please.
