The Don Geronimo Show - November 29, 2011

Today, the AC is out again, and the studio is sweltering! Don and the guys, being the pros they are, push on despite sweating like pigs. Don resets the Christmas tree story from last year, in which people at the station complained to HR about allergies, and Don decides that this year he wants fake Christmas trees all over the station. Don then tells us about Billy from promotions, who fainted yesterday while getting a blood test for STD's. Don calls Billy up to not only get the whole story from him, but to find out why he was getting an STD test, which was apparently because he broke up with his girlfriend. When Don and the guys question the validity of who broke up with whom, Don calls Nate from promotions to verify.

The guys then get into bathroom talk after Dave mentions that someone has blown up the men's room. At first, they blame Craig, knowing it's a regular occurrence with him. Craig, who always claims it when he blows up the bathroom, vehemently denies it. They eventually decide it was Julie from KNCI. Don then reads a list of different types of dumps people can take, like the "Houdini Dump" and the "Cable Wire" dump. Don also reads a list of names for taking a dump, like "Burial at Sea," and "Releasing a Corn-Eyed Butt Snake."

We then get a visit from comedian Adam Carolla, a favorite guest of the show who's been on numerous times. Adam is performing at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento Dec. 9th. Adam talks about growing up poor, his hatred for the holiday season, the idiocy of Black Friday, and what Peyton Manning should do at the end of the NFL season. Today is also the 10th Anniversary of George Harrison's death, and Don talks a bit about the "Quiet Beatle." Don then brings Slow Joe into the studio to read a list that John Lennon wrote for his personal assistant that is being auctioned off.

It's then to play a new game called "Ho, ho, ho." Don gets his listeners to call up the show, then Don calls one of their relatives, and the listeners have to say nothing but "Ho, ho, ho." The winner is the listener who can keep their relative on the line the longest. Don also gives radio legend Walt Shaw a call and plays the game with him. Don then interviews his former intern, and TV producer Greg Garcia. Greg talks about his new program, Raising Hope, currently in its second season on FOX, a possible My Name Is Earl movie, and his meeting with Charlie Sheen. He also talks about how he made the transition from radio to TV.

After playing a "Regis and Butthead" clip from the Jimmy Kimmel Show, and the awful facelifts of Bruce Jenner and Kenny Rogers, it's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Among the stories today: The winners from the Powerball Lottery story yesterday are 3 rich bankers, Herman Cain called and texted Ginger White 61 times, and 6 kinds of technology that lie to you. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
