TWAIN HARTE (CBS13) – High winds in the foothills knocked a tree down onto a CAL FIRE fire station and onto two vehicles, causing extensive damage, according to agency spokesman Daniel Berlant.
It happened at a fire station in the Tuolumne County town of Twain Harte, and caused damage to the roof of the structure. Part of the tree also fell onto an SUV, crushing its cabin and damaging the hood of a nearby pickup truck.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters have been busy today putting out multiple fires across the area. Yesterday, CAL FIRE increased its staffing in preparation plan for the dangerous fire conditions.
