The Don Geronimo Show - December 14, 2011

Today, Don introduces a new theme song: A Harry Nilsson tune entitled "Gotta Get Up." The guys then talk about the attention Noodles has been receiving lately, with the Good Day Sacramento appearance yesterday, and it all going to his head. Dave caught the Ustream broadcast of the Sacramento City Council meeting last night regarding the new arena, and the guys discuss the tweets he sent out of the idiot people who came out to speak against building a new home for the Kings.

Don also tells us that he and Janet went to Lucille's last night, and it was the best BBQ he's had since he came out here. Don then tells us about a story he read about Derek Jeter, in which the Yankee slugger apparently gives the women he sleeps with gift baskets when they leave the next morning. We also hear a story about Tim Tebow giving circumcisions to Filipino boys while doing missionary work.

It's then time to play the "$10 Pyramid." Once again, Dave is paired up with Craig, and Phantom with Little Joe. Among the categories today: "Fast food restaurants," "All about Noodles," and "Famous Brits." After more Tebow talk, comedian Dave Attell stops by to promote his appearance at the Punchline in Sacramento Dec 29th & 30th. Dave talks about his new show, Dave's Old Porn, on Showtime, the Insomniac days, and the passing of Patrice O'Neal. After the interview, the guys are so inspired that they continue watching porn, especially granny porn, until Don's wife Janet shows up with doughnuts. Luckily, she's cool with the guys watching the old ladies.

After Don plays clips from Santa Conquers the Martians, and A Krumpus Christmas, and a quick 8-bit karaoke with Craig, it's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom talks about the Sacramento arena issue, and the City Council meeting last night, Time's "2011 Person of the Year," Newt Gingrich up to 40% in the polls, and Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry gets sold for $115 million. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
