UPDATE: Cigarette Likely Cause Of Fatal Vacaville Fire
VACAVILLE (CBS13) — The cause of a fire that killed a 52-year-old Vacaville woman on Monday was not criminal, police said Tuesday, but rather likely caused by a lit cigarette.
Firefighters found Bonnie Mitchell in the upstairs master bedroom of the home at 136 Gentry Circle after a 911 call was received at 10:34 a.m. Mitchell died at the scene. A family dog was also found dead in the bedroom, but another dog was rescued. Mitchell's husband was at work when the fire broke out, police said.
