Cat Saved By CPR In Sacramento House Fire
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A cat apparently used one of its nine lives after a house fire in Sacramento on Wednesday night.
Crews responded at 8:27 p.m. to the 900 block of La Sierra Way in the Arden Park area of Sacramento and found a home with a bedroom well involved.
Firefighters found two dogs and a cat deceased in the home and initiated CPR to one of the dogs and the cat.
After 45 minutes of resuscitation efforts, the cat was revived, the department said.
A lizard and a small rabbit were also saved from the home.
Investigators determined the cause to be accidental, with no other reports of injury. Damage was estimated at $100,000.
