Animal lovers know there is really no such thing as a “spoiled” dog; there are only hounds who are finally getting the kind of treatment they so richly deserve. Sacramento has a wealth of opportunities for deserving, style-conscious canines that want to look good in the dog park. Here are some of the tops spots we found to help you turn your pooch into a fashion plate.

Wagger’s Pet Supply and Market
Hours: Tue to Fri -10a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sat – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sun – 11a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wagger’s Pet Supply has many t-shirts, sweaters and jackets for your favorite sharp-dressed dog. They pride themselves on having items that are more unique and of higher quality than those sold in the large pet store chains. Clothing comes in sizes appropriate for Teacup Yorkies and all the way up to Cocker Spaniels.
Hours: Wed to Fri – 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Sat to Sun – 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Critter Outfitter is located inside the Sacramento County Animal Shelter and is run by volunteers from the nonprofit group TEAM (Teaching Everyone That Animals Matter). They feature various dog fashions such as pinafores, sweaters, dresses and raincoats. The prices are affordable, many of the clothing items are hand-made and one-of-a-kind. Best of all, the proceeds help promote shelter adoptions and assist with the cost of veterinary care.
