Fatal Crash Closed Highway 12 In San Joaquin County

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY (CBS13) – One person died in a crash between and SUV and a semi truck on Highway 12 in San Joaquin County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at 11:15 Wednesday morning. The driver of the SUV was killed and the tractor trailer, which was carrying cardboard, caught fire.

Emergency crews closed Highway 12 in both directions as they attempted to clear the roadway.

    I never liked driving Hwy 12 or Hwy 4, Idiots driving to fast and passing on blind curves.

    They need to have dividers all the way from Rio Vista to Lodi or make an extra lane on both directions. More lives will be spare on this deadly road!

    I saw the accident before first responders got there. The most horrific sight I have seen. Pray for the family of the victim.
