Modesto Homeowner Shoots Masked Intruder
MODESTO (CBS13) – A Modesto homeowner has shot and critically wounded one of two masked suspects who broke into his home early Tuesday morning, according to police.
The shooting happened at a home on the corner of Houser Lane and Wilma Drive around 8:30 a.m.
Police say two men wearing ski masks broke into the home. The suspects had one person at gunpoint and demanded money and property.
Another person in the home opened fire on the suspects. One of the suspects was hit. He has been taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
The other suspect got away.
Police do not plan to file charges against the victim.
