Modesto Wells Fargo Bank Robbed; 2 Suspects Sought

MODESTO (CBS13) - Two men robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Modesto early Tuesday night.

Employees of the bank at 3424 Dale Road reported the robbery at about 5:35 p.m., according to police.

The suspects reportedly entered the bank and jumped over the counter. At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. Once the suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, they fled and were last seen running into the Stonebridge apartment complex in the 2800 block of Veneman Avenue.

Officers and two canine units searched the area but were unsuccessful in finding the suspects.

The suspects were described as two black men in their early 20s. One was wearing a black hooded sweater and the second was wearing a gray sweater.
