
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department released this sketch of the suspect wanted in a sexual assault in North Highlands on Friday, July 13, 2012.
NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) – The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department is searching for the suspect in a reported sexual assault on a North Highlands street last week.
The incident reportedly happened in the area of Kirkby Way and Walerga Road early on Friday morning.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect approached the woman on foot and engaged her in casual conversation. When the woman attempted to leave, the suspect attacked and sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled the scene on foot, going north on Walerga Road.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, dark-skinned, and approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a medium build. He had dreadlocks and wore a dark-colored jacket at the time of the assault.
