Sacramento Police Investigating After Man's Body Found Inside Apartment

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento Police Department homicide detectives were called to a midtown apartment after man was found deceased inside on Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded at about 4:30 p.m. to the 2400 block of P Street on a report of a suspicious death. Officers arrived and found a 57-year-old man deceased inside of his apartment. The man's body had possible signs of trauma and was believed to be deceased for three or four days, police said.

The Sacramento Police Department's Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit were called out to take over the investigation. Detectives are actively delving into the case.
