The Don Geronimo Show – September 10, 2012
Don begins by telling us about his first NFL Sunday of the season, and even though his Packers lost to the 49ers, he is still happy that the NFL is here! The guys also discuss how awful the officiating was for both sides in that game, and how lousy the officiating was in general throughout the league, before talking about how great the Red Zone Channel is. We also get an update on the KHTK VW Beetle, and Don says he’ll double his offer – to $200, to get the car so he can give it away to a listener. After Don tells us which cars are best for performing abortions in, the guys talk about their favorite football movies of all time, we hear a few clips, including a woman who was harassed by the Houston TSA over a beverage she bought after the security checkpoint, and a guy who flips out at a Seattle Sounders soccer game over the guy standing in front of him.
We then get a visit from actor Justin Bartha. Justin, who’s new show “New Normal” premieres tonight on NBC, talks about playing a gay man on TV, and being a part of the very successful “Hangover” series. We then hear clips from the “Stand Up To Cancer” special, including Taylor Swift’s new song, Michael Douglas’ speech, and Seth Rogen bombing. We then hear that Greg Papa, who was supposed to be on with us today, flaked out because we weren’t paying him to appear. After Don and Little Joe voice their disapproval, the guys play “Guess The Bra Size” with different celebrities, and we hear that Adrienne Maloof is divorcing her husband, who says she is violent with him. Furthermore, he says that he carries a gun with him to “protect himself from Kings fans.” We also hear clips from Eddie Vedder perorming with Springsteen at Wrigley Field, Peyton Manning’s 400th touchdown, and David Akers’ 63 yard field goal.
It’s then time for the “Phantom News Hour.” Today, Phantom gives us some TV reminders, tells us about a drug dealer who swallowed a bag of heroin, crapped it out, and then swallowed it again, and a guy who was caught hiding crack up his crack! And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
